Angela Leason Promoted to Director of Intelligence

Command Investigations has announced the promotion of Angela Leason to the position of Director of Intelligence. In this new role, Leason will oversee the Intelligence Department, which includes all desktop investigations. Her responsibilities encompass case management for complex and high-profile cases, strategic planning for departmental growth, maintaining client relations, and ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality results and impactful investigations for which Command is known.

Since joining Command in 2017, Leason has held roles such as Senior Intelligence Manager, Senior Background and SIU Services Manager, and SIU Analyst. Before that, she gained years of relevant experience with other investigative entities, including conducting background investigations for the Federal Government.

Leason has been credited with various important accomplishments, including growing the Intelligence Department from 8 investigators to over 40. This growth occurred organically and through acquisitions, integrating teams of investigators from other companies into the Command culture while allowing for the individuality of the scope of work to prosper.

“In this role, I look forward to continuing to mentor our investigators, helping to grow our leadership from within. We have a lot of talent at Command,” said Leason. She stated that her “greatest achievement is mentoring numerous individuals who rose from entry-level investigator positions straight out of college into sales, case coordination, and management positions in several different departments. Additionally, numerous former investigators from the Intelligence Department have moved on to positions with the Federal Government, State’s Attorney offices, and law enforcement. Providing ongoing feedback to our investigative team fosters personal growth, which, in turn, enhances the department and ultimately strengthens the Command structure. As we expand geographically and keep pace with ever-evolving technology, it is essential that we continue to groom the up-and-coming leaders who will maintain the excellence in service for which Command is known. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow our leadership team and the entire Intelligence program. It’s an exciting time for us with nearly endless possibilities, combining technology-based tools like AI with an expertly trained team of creative, problem-solving investigators.”

Chief Operating Officer Jason Chofooklun added that “Angie is laser-focused on client service and providing them with complete and accurate investigative results. There is no one better to lead our Intelligence department into the future.”
