July 26, 2017. Command Investigations presented a one-hour CEU on the use of social media as an investigative tool to the Crum & Forster Insurance team in Lake Mary, Florida on Friday, July 21st.
The presentation discussed the imperative role of cyber investigations when thoroughly investigating a claim. With over 80% of the claimant population on social media and over 60 million status updates daily on Facebook alone, social media investigations are no longer optional.
Continuous monitoring of a claimant’s social media activities is also necessary, as it provides immediate notification of actionable social media posts allowing for proactive versus reactive investigative decisions.
Claims Buzz Monitoring™ uses a defined set of metrics to systematically identify, analyze and rank claims based on their probability of having social media exposure. Claims are then continuously monitored 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, yielding increased overall results and positive ROI.
