Hilario Pastrana Pleads Guilty to Multiple Charges

Hilario Pastrana MugshotMay 17, 2018. Command Investigations, Packard Claims Administration and Lion Insurance Company announce that Hilario Pastrana has pled guilty to multiple workers’ compensation charges.

On April 5, 2018, Pastrana was sentenced to six months in county jail after pleading guilty to the following:

  • Florida Statute 440.105(4)(b) – Workers’ Compensation Fraud
  • Florida Statute 817.568(2)(a) – Criminal Use of Personal Identification Information without Consent

Command initiated an investigation into Pastrana after he suffered an alleged work-related injury working as a laborer.

Command’s Claims Data Verification Program™ (CDVP™) confirmed he offered fraudulent and deceptive information to collect workers’ compensation benefits after his injury.

Based on the information obtained through the CDVP™, Command’s SIU Department was statutorily required to refer his claim to the Florida Division of Insurance Fraud (DIF).

Pastrana was arrested on March 12, 2018 in Duval County, Florida.
