Denis Gerardo Figueroa-Medina Arrested, Being Held on $20,000 Bond

Denis Gerardo Figueroa-Medina mugshotMay 7, 2018. Command Investigations and Frank Winston Crum Insurance announce that Denis Gerardo Figueroa-Medina has been arrested for workers’ compensation fraud.

Figueroa-Medina was arrested on March 30, 2018 in Nassau County, Florida and extradited to Duval County, Florida on April 10, 2018. He is charged with the following:

  • Florida Statute 440.105(4)(B) – Workers’ Compensation Fraud
  • Florida Statute 817.568(2)(A) – Use/Possess Identification of Another Without Consent

Command initiated an investigation into Figueroa-Medina after he was involved in a motor vehicle accident on his way to a jobsite.

Subsequently, Command’s Claims Data Verification Program™ (CDVP™) established that Figueroa-Medina offered inaccurate and deceptive information to collect workers’ compensation benefits following his injury.

Following the CDVP™’s findings, Command’s Special Investigative Unit (SIU) department referred Figueroa-Medina’s claim to the Florida Division of Insurance Fraud (DIF), as statutorily required.

Figueroa-Medina is currently being held in the Nassau County Jail, with a bond amount of $20,000.00.

All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
