Command Investigations' Investigator Summit included investigators from throughout the state of Florida.June 13, 2017. On Tuesday, June 8th, a large group of Command’s investigators from across the state of Florida gathered for an off-site career development summit in Lake Mary, Florida.

As part of our commitment to training and career advancement, a wide variety of topics were covered during the meeting, including an array of advanced investigative techniques and topics.  Additional agenda points included the discussion of the necessary components of a successful fraud submission and the foundational necessity of coupling the best customer service with the industries finest investigative results.

We know that to succeed in the investigative industry you must think outside the box and realize that each investigation is unique. A key difference between just getting video and investigating is that a comprehensive, detailed investigation involves actively utilizing available and strategic resources to gain additional insights on your subject. This ultimately places you a step ahead of your competition.

The summit then covered advanced investigative techniques and strategies for developing information while simultaneously maintaining the integrity of every case. Solid communication between management, investigators and clients is critical to every successful investigation.

Following a successful investigation, the process of a fraud analysis and assessment was outlined. The importance of a well-detailed and complete fraud submission cannot be iterated enough, as a well-presented fraud referral can lead to tens of thousands of dollars in claim savings. Exceptional and impactful video goes a long way in accomplishing this task.

During the afternoon session, we welcomed a guest speaker from Crum & Forster Insurance with expertise in both the investigative and fraud arenas. The presentation emphasized the importance of taking the extra step in every investigation and attention to detail. In addition, the role of excellent customer service to include transparency, consistency, and honesty when working with clients was highlighted.

The summit ended following a full day of presentations and speakers. Attendees departed the summit understanding the critical role their day-to-day job jobs play in the overall success of Command. Our actions today contribute to the outcomes of our tomorrow.
