NARS SUNZ Kraig Kupersmith Booking PhotoJune 30, 2015. Command Investigations, SUNZ Insurance and North American Risk Services (NARS) announce the arrest of Kraig Kupersmith.

As SUNZ’s SIU Department, Command Investigations initiated an investigation on Kraig Kupersmith after he sustained an alleged hernia and shoulder sprain on a jobsite. While being deposed by Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A, Kupersmith testified he had not been working and that his only activity included dropping his wife off at work. However, surveillance clearly documented Kupersmith working, in direct contradiction to his deposition. In addition, after being shown the surveillance video, the treating doctor released Kupersmith to MMI.

Based upon the overwhelming evidence, Command’s SIU Department submitted a referral to the Florida Division of Insurance Fraud (DIF) as statutorily required based on material misrepresentation. After review, DIF issued an arrest warrant for Kupersmith.

On June 25, 2015, Kraig Kupersmith was arrested in Lake County, Florida, for insurance fraud, violating F.S. 440.105 (4B) – MISREP OMIT INF RE W/C CLAIM LESS 20K.

Kupersmith’s bond is set at $5,000. Kupersmith’s trial is pending.

All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
