July 10, 2014. Command Investigations, Packard Claims and Lion Insurance announce the arrest of Jason Hogan for insurance fraud which was a direct result of Command’s SIU & Anti-Fraud investigation.
As Packard’s Special Investigative Unit (SIU), Command works closely with the adjusting staff to identify and analyze each claim for the possibility of insurance fraud. During the course of this claim’s evaluation, Command and Packard determined that the claimant lied during a sworn deposition in an effort to obtain worker’s compensation benefits.
As required by Florida Statutes, this claim was referred to the Florida Division of Insurance Fraud (DIF) based upon the evidence obtained from the SIU & Anti-Fraud Investigation. The claim was submitted on the basis of fraud and material misrepresentation. Subsequently, Hogan was arrested on July 8, 2014 in Leon county, Florida and criminal charges include violation of F.S. 812.014.(2)(c)(3) and F.S. 817.234(11)(a).
Bond was set at $10,000.
All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
